What I’m Reading

“Books are the plane, and the train, and the road. They are the destination, and the journey. They are home.”

Anna Quindlen

I LOVE to read! If I could get paid to do it, I’d be Bill Gates’ best friend. Look here for what I’m currently reading and the books I highly recommend, in no particular order. My favorite genres are mystery and memoir—so you’ll see lots of those kinds of books on my list.

If you live in an apple and are a bookworm like I am, I recommend signing up for Book of the Month. They find the best new reads—with an emphasis on early releases, fresh perspectives and debut authors.

An Anti-Racist Reading List

Reading can seriously damage your ignorance. Educate yourself.

This is the beginning of an anti-racist reading list from The City of Asylum, an organization dedicated to promoting a safe space where writers can express themselves creatively without fear of persecution: https://www.cityofasylumbooks.org/anti-racist-reading-list.

You’ll find a mix of nonfiction, literature and poetry – all are good starting points for reading about race.

Look here for a list of resources you can use to make a difference and support Black Lives Matter.

Book Journaling

I book journal because it combines the two things I love the most—reading and writing! I take note of every book I finish reading and a few details to remember them by. If you’re interested, purchase the journal I use faithfully.
